We didn’t set out to solve a theoretical problem. We set out to solve a problem we experience every day.
Every member of our team currently works as a barista, so we understand first-hand what it takes to deliver great coffee consistently. We know the pressure of a busy service, the importance of speed, and how much skill and concentration can go into something that looks deceptively simple — producing perfectly textured milk.
We also know how much difference the milk can make to the finished drink. That experience is what inspired us to develop the Barista Wedge®.
BORN BEHIND THE COFFEE BAR
Working with coffee every day has shown us that consistency is one of the biggest challenges facing cafés and hospitality businesses.
Different baristas have different levels of experience. Service gets busy. Staff change. Training takes time. Yet the customer still expects the same beautifully made coffee every time they visit.
We began asking a simple question:
Could we make one of the most important parts of coffee preparation more consistent, without compromising the quality of the drink?
The Barista Wedge® grew from that question.
It has been developed with the realities of a working coffee bar in mind — not simply how something performs in ideal conditions, but how it works when there is a queue at the counter, several drinks waiting and a team trying to maintain quality throughout a busy shift.
PASSIONATE ABOUT BETTER COFFEE
We're passionate about this product because we're passionate about coffee.
We believe technology should support the skills of a barista rather than get in the way of them. Our aim is to make it easier to achieve consistently excellent results while creating a smoother, more efficient workflow behind the bar.
For experienced baristas, that can mean greater consistency and the freedom to concentrate on other elements of the drink.
For less experienced team members, it can make one of the more difficult aspects of coffee preparation easier to master.
And for the customer, it ultimately means what matters most: a great cup of coffee, every time.
DESIGNED BY PEOPLE WHO USE IT
We aren't developing this product from a distance. We use coffee machines. We steam milk. We serve customers. We understand the frustrations, pressures and small details that make a difference during a working shift.
That keeps us focused on creating something genuinely useful — a practical solution designed around the people who will actually use it.
